THAI YOGA THERAPY – FULL BODY – 90 MINUTES OR 2 HOURS
A soothing form of bodywork that combines acupressure, assisted stretching and joint mobilization. Clients are fully clothed and the session is done on a special floor mat rather than a table. Rhythmic pressure is applied using hands, thumbs, elbows, forearms, knees, and feet. Gentle pulling, swaying and rocking of the body and limbs are used to stimulate the energetic system. Oils and creams are not used; however, aromatherapy using essential oils may be requested for therapeutic purposes. The client remains passive throughout the session and often drifts off into a deep relaxation.
THAI YOGA THERAPY – FOCUSED AREA – 1 HOUR
A session devoted to a particular area of the body that is experiencing tightness or pain.
YOGA LESSONS – PRIVATE OR COUPLE – 1 HOUR
Yoga is best learned and most healing when instructions are personalized for the individual. By paying close attention and listening with compassion, I design yoga sessions that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of my students. I teach adults of all ages and levels but specialize in giving beginners the head start that will guide them towards a safe and authentic yoga practice. People come to me with a variety of issues. Everybody is dealing with something. I remind students to listen to the wisdom of their own body. Pushing through the pain, is CRAZY TALK! Yoga is so much more than just coming into poses, or trying to be an acrobat! “We are past the age of trying to impress others. We don’t need to conform to a group. One hour of yoga tailored to your specific level and desired pace, concluding with an utterly relaxing 30 minute Thai Yoga Therapy session.
